Yona received the "Kriya Babaji Nagaraj and the 18 Siddhas Lineage Kundalini Shaktipat Initiation" from two Yogis originating in Singapore on Friday September 22, 2006 . Navaratri began Saturday, September 23 and ended Sunday, October 1st. A very spiritually powerful nine days within each calendar year. Navaratri is a nine day festival that honors Hindu Goddesses.

Along with the Shaktipat Initiation he also received the new spiritual name "Yona Jyotiananda", and later he received Authorization from one of the Yogis known simply as Devi, to offer "Kriya Babaji Nagaraj and the 18 Siddhas Lineage Kundalini Shaktipat Initiation", and also "Kriya Babaji and the 18 Siddhas Lineage Spiritual Healing". After the initiation, Devi smiled, and told Yona Jyotiananda that he was now Enlightened.

"I am grateful beyond words to Devi for allowing me to receive the Kundalini Shaktipat Initiation from this incredible Siddha Lineage. I dedicate everything to Lord Kriya Babaji Nagaraj and God from now on. I am no longer the "Do-er," Lord Kriya Babaji and God are. Every day I awaken feeling more alive, and filled with this exquisite, and beautiful feeling. I have waited my whole life for the day when I truly know that I have found my path, and Dharma. It was not until I was initiated by Lord Kriya Babaji, that the realization hit me "This is the end of my searching, and the beginning of my path." Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul!"

Orgyen Kusum Lingpa

Yona Jyotiananda's fully Self-Realized Tibetan "Root Lama" for all lifetimes.

He is one of the teachers of the Dalai Lama

Yona has received spiritual initiation by His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself, and also one of the teachers of the Dalai Lama by the name of Orgyen Kusum Lingpa (pictured above). Orgyen Kusum Lingpa recognized Yona instantaneously, and embraced him effectionately upon first meeting him in 1995. He remembered Yona from past lives together in Tibet.

Orgyen Kusum Lingpa told Yona that he was Yona's "Root Lama" for all lifetimes. He asked Yona to join his inner circle, and wanted to take Yona to Tibet with him to meet the elders. He gave Yona a Tibetan Rosary (prayer beads for mantra practice). He also gave Yona the Tibetan spiritual name of Kunchok Thupten Norbu which translates into Dharma of Three Jewels.

The Three Jewels in Tibetan Buddhism are the:

1) Buddha (a God-Realized Being) 2) Dharma (spiritual work - Truth) 3) Sanga (spiritual community).

There is a story that goes something like this; Once, many years ago, Lamasan (an affectionate term for a Lama, Monk - often used to address Orgyen Kusum Lingpa), was riding aboard a Chinese bus in Tibet. The roads on the mountains are very narrow, and treacherous. The bus driver mis-calculated a turn, and the bus's front wheel ended up hanging precariously over a very long drop down the face of a steep cliff. Lamasan got out of the bus which was dangling precariously over the cliff, and held the bus with one hand to stabilize it, and balanced himself with the other, all the while chanting a protection mantra. All of the passengers got off safely. After the last person got off of the bus, Lamasan let go of the bus, and it plummeted down the cliff. He saved every person's life on that bus, and the government of China awarded him a plaque which stated that he was a "National Treasure". This is the highest honor awarded to a civilian for their merit.

The funny thing about this story is that this same government had Lamasan and another 400 or so other Lamas imprisoned for over 20 years. Only 4 out of the 400 survived. They were starved, beaten, burned, and were not given sufficient water and food to live on. Lamasan himself was also shot (he showed Yona the scar where the bullet entered), and burned in addition to starved etc. They tried almost everything they could think of, and they still could not kill him. On several occasions he was seen shopping in the village for food, all the while his physical body was still to be seen in the Gymnasium-like building where the rest of the Lamas were captive. He knew how to physically Bi-Locate !

Oh, and by the way, there was no clean place for them to sit or lay down on the dirt floored old building. The snow, and rain would come in through the windows in the winter. After all of this, when asked what he thought about the Chinese Government, he stated that he had no ill feelings toward them or the Chinese people.

Yona has further received initiation by several fully Self-Realized world renowned Indian Saints, such as; Ammachi (she is a Mahatma, which means great soul, she was born a fully realized being), Gurumai (head of Siddha Yoga), Shri Anandi Ma (head of Kundalini Maha Yoga), Sat Guru Sant Keshavadasji, Mother Meera from Germany, Shri Karunamai, and several others. He was also in the company of Shree Ma for over 1-1/2 years (a great saint who's spiritual practices were so severe that she did not eat solid food for eight years). He was also initiated into "Kriya Babaji and the 18 Siddha - Kriya Yoga" by the Enlightened Kriya Yoga Master Marshall Govindan Satchidananda from Canada.

He has also been visited on the subtle level by Mother Mary, and Father Joseph. They actually appeared in his room and placed their hands on his shoulders (he could feel their palms and fingers as a physical touch), and they spoke to him lovingly, also Lord Christ, Kriya Babaji Nagaraj and the 18 Siddhas, Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, Maitreya Buddha, Shakyamuni Buddha, the Goddess Quan Yin, the Goddess Maha Lakshmi, the Goddess Maha Durga, the Goddess Maha Sarswathi, the Goddess Maha Kali, the Angelic group who call themselves Ariel, the Lords of Karma, the Ishwish of Creation (they are cosmic peace keepers), Lord Metatron, Lord Melchizedeck, all 12 Archangels (when called upon, they all act as his guides), and there are many others. Yona has had many spiritual teachers with a wide range of spiritually eclectic, and diverse backgrounds.

Yona earned the rank of Shodan (Black Belt) after he practiced in the Shorinji Ryu Okinawan Karate for several years under O'Sensei Richard Kim (O'Sensei refers to the highest teacher of a system). Yona was 1 of only 18 people to have been invited to O'Sensei's very auspicious celebration, and dinner from all of Master Kim's teachers and students world wide. Yona's direct Sensei was O'Sensei's number one student, and after a number of years, Yona began to train under Sensei Shockey who was a 5th degree Black Belt himself pictured in the light jacket, and glasses to the right of O'Sensei (in the photo above).

Yona entered a state of consciousness called Equanimity (also known as Bhava Samadhi by the Hindus) during a week long martial arts summer camp which he attended in 1987. Top ranking Grand Masters from all over the world were in attendance for this Karate Summer Camp which was very highly regarded because the two head organizers were none other than O'Sensei Richard Kim, and O'Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama. Literally hundreds of Karate practitioners came from over thirty countries, once every year to this mother of all Karate Summer Camps.

He was following the World renown Karate Master O'Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama head of the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) down a foot path when all of the sudden Yona slipped into a very deep state of Equanimity. O'Sensei Nishiyama was always in this state of consciousness, and that is what made him completely fearless. Equanimity is an extremely tranquil spiritually enlightened state of mind in which you are so calm, and relaxed that you do not possess any thoughts. Yona was in that state of consciousness for the next two months straight, twenty four hours a day.

Two years later he was at a very low point emotionally in his life. A coworker suggested that he pray to a picture of Lord Christ. Yona came from a family who never talked about Christ. He decided that it probably couldn't hurt, so he built an alter as instructed by his friend, and began to pray. No sooner than he uttered the words "Please help me to surrender", an extremely powerful column of golden light came down upon him. He immediately entered into an extremely deep state of Bhava Samadhi (an awake enlightened state of awareness in which your own God Self walks-in to your body as apposed to a meditative state), and he became blissed-out. He heard an incredibly loud sound. It sounded like crashing ocean waves. Tears were uncontrollably flowing from his eyes. His Christ-Self walked-in to his body.

He was in this Christed State of Consciousness twenty four hours a day, for the next ten days. Wherever he went, people would become blissful around him (within ten feet of him). People were giving him free food, even at fast food restaurants, even though he did not ask for it. There were some people who received an instant spiritual cleansing from being in his physical proximity. During this time God spoke to him, and many wonderful things happened. He, for the first time in his life, felt complete and unconditional Love not only for himself, but for all of Creation as well.

He was truly transformed. He always helped others in the past, but now he was compelled to make it his vocation.
